Papa Roach donated $155,000 to Talk Away The Dark , a suicide prevention campaign run by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

On a recent tour with Shinedown and Spiritbox , the band donated a percentage of the ticket sales to the cause, resulting in a check for US$155,000 for charity.

AFSP CEO Bob Gebbia said the contribution was emblematic and shows the healing power of music for many people going through a difficult time in their lives. “We all have a role to play in suicide prevention and supporting each other’s mental health. Music has always been a powerful way to spread these messages. That’s why we are so grateful to Papa Roach for making mental health messages a priority throughout his career.”

Papa Roach released the song “Leave A Light On” about mental health and has now officially renamed it “Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark)”. Royalties will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Check out the new music video below.
