The first shows of the Pantera tribute reunion are coming up, and Charlie Benante , the drummer who will be filling in for the late Vinnie Paul , has shared some photos from the rehearsal.

Alongside Benante is Zakk Wylde , who will fill the spot previously held by Dimebag Darrell , and members of the classic lineup Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown . Benante's social media posts show some of the preparations for the shows. See the post at the end of this article.

In the caption, the drummer says that the work has been intense and dedicated to "the love for Vinie and Dime, the fans, and the music that these four created."

Currently, Pantera has a series of shows scheduled in Latin America, including an appearance at Knotfest in São Paulo on December 18th , and a show alongside Judas Priest , who will also be performing at the festival three days earlier.

The group will also perform at Hell & Heaven Fest in Mexico and Monterrey Metal Fest, in addition to appearances at Knotfest in Colombia and Chile. At the time of publication of this article, the quartet's first headlining show will be in Santiago, Chile. The venue has changed, now moving to an arena three times larger than the previous location, after tickets sold out quickly.

In 2023, Pantera will perform at several European festivals, including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in Germany. More performances are expected to be announced soon.

In addition to Pantera, Benante will also be touring with Wylde when his band Anthrax embarks on a North American tour alongside Black Label Society in January 2023.
