Pantera has released another teaser for the tribute reunion coming to Brazil this December for Knotfest. Watch the video at the end of this article.
In the video, the group displays the following messages: "for the brothers, fans, and legacy," and each word is accompanied by an image. In the case of the brothers, a montage of Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell is shown, while for fans and legacy, a photo of the audience at a concert is featured.
On the 20th, a video was released announcing a possible tribute reunion soon. In the video, a short excerpt from the introduction of "Cowboys From Hell" is shown, followed by what appears to be a recent or distorted recording of Phil Anselmo saying one of the lines from the song's lyrics, "We're taking over this town."
Five days later, it was confirmed that the group – formed by original members Philip Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass), guitarist Zakk Wylde , and drummer Charlie Benante , who will take over the positions previously held by Dimebag Darrell Abbott and Vincent Vinnie Paul Abbott, respectively – will come to Brazil to perform at Knotfest in December. In addition, the group will also perform at the event's editions in Chile and Colombia, as well as at the Hell & Heaven Metal Fest in Mexico.
