Pantera highly anticipated tour has finally begun , and fans now know more about what to expect from the shows, including a touching moment featuring a tribute to the Abbott during their Black Sabbath .
The band returned to the stage after two decades with a lineup that reunites the remaining original members of Pantera, Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, with guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante filling the positions left by brothers Dimebag Darrell Abbott and Vincent Vinnie Paul Abbott, respectively.
The decision for Pantera to return using that name without the Abbott brothers generated controversy among the public, and even Vinnie Paul's estate stated that "there is no Pantera reunion without Vinnie and Dime ," despite approving of the tour initiative as a tribute "to the brothers, fans, and legacy ," as it was announced.
And Pantera's first show didn't leave out a lengthy tribute to their deceased brothers, with images and videos of Dimebag and Vinnie throughout the years prominently displayed on the screens for almost six full minutes, something that is expected to happen at every show on the tour.

The Pantera tribute band will be in São Paulo on two dates: first, a show alongside Judas Priest at Vibra on December 15th ( tickets here ), followed by a performance as one of the main attractions at Knotfest Brasil on December 18th, alongside other names such as Bring Me The Horizon , Judas Priest, Trivium, Sepultura, Motionless In White, Vended, Project46 and Slipknot themselves ( tickets here ).
