Pantera surpasses one billion streams on digital platforms

The legendary thrash metal band came to an end in the early 2000s

Pantera has surpassed one billion streams across digital platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Deezer, Google, and Spotify. The news was announced on the band's social media with a message of gratitude to their fans .

The band, unfortunately, has been inactive since the early 2000s following a falling out between brothers Vinnie Paul (drums) and Dimebag Darrell Abbott (guitar), both deceased today, and vocalist Phil Anselmo .

The Abbotts then formed the band Damageplan, which came to an end with the tragic death of Dimebag at age 38 in 2004, following a shooting at the Alrosa Villa in Ohio during a band concert. Vinnie Paul passed away in 2018, a victim of a heart attack while sleeping.

Today, Anselmo is working on the project The Illegals , which toured Brazil in 2019.
