"The Great Southern Trendkill" is one of the most intense and heavy albums Pantera has ever recorded. Released in 1996, the album reached number 4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and earned Pantera their fourth consecutive platinum album.
In 2016, the album turned 20 years old, and to celebrate the occasion, the special edition "The Great Southern Trendkill: 20th Anniversary Edition" was released. The special edition includes the remastered original CD, as well as mixes, instrumentals, and live audio that have never been released before.
