Pantera tribute tour finally kicked off last Friday night, the 2nd, at the Hell & Heaven in Mexico.
With a lineup that brings together the remaining original members of Pantera, Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown , the tribute band recruited guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante to fill the positions left by brothers Dimebag Darrell Abbott and Vincent Vinnie Paul Abbott , respectively.
The first show of this tour marked Pantera's return to the stage for the first time in over 20 years: the band's last performance had taken place on August 26, 2001, in Japan, ending the band's activities abruptly.

The setlist for the performance should give a good indication of Pantera's shows in Brazil in the coming weeks, including hits like "This Love," "Cowboys From Hell," and "Walk," according to a survey by the website Setlist.fm . The Pantera tribute band will be in São Paulo on two dates: first, a show alongside Judas Priest at Vibra on December 15th ( tickets here ), followed by a performance as one of the main attractions at Knotfest Brasil on December 18th, alongside other names such as Bring Me The Horizon , Judas Priest, Trivium, Sepultura, Motionless In White, Vended, Project46 and Slipknot themselves ( tickets here ).
