Midnight Oil managed to resume live shows, fulfilling the dream of so many bands and artists in the face of the uncertain scenario of the COVID-19 .

The band toured Australia to promote the album The Makarrata Project , released in 2020, and concluded the series of five shows in the country on Saturday the 20th, at Mt Duneed Estate, for an audience of over 13,000 people.

All of this was only possible thanks to the restrictive measures imposed by the Australian government to contain the increase in cases of the disease. According to UOL , the country even managed to have zero cases in January. Currently, the average is nine new cases per day.

The tour was the first since the death of bassist Bones Hillman in November 2020, a victim of cancer.
