Pabllo Vittar commented on a statement by pop singer Luísa Sonza , who has been venturing into rock and said that the style is not dead, but that she doesn't want the traditional fans for herself, claiming that rock is not inclusive.
“They say, ‘Oh my God, rock is dead.’ Your rock is dead, now we’re the ones who make it. I don’t want those fans. I want my gays, I want my women, I want the people of pop,” declared Luísa during an interview on The Town [via Tracklist ].
During an interview with TMDQA , Pabllo Vittar gave his opinion, disagreeing with Luísa's statement:
“I think rock is super inclusive. I think the punk crowd… Punk is about being drag, it's about being who you are, it's about loving others, it's about respecting them. I think that's the essence of rock. I think rock is quite inclusive in its entirety. Of course, there are people who are arbitrarily, like, more conservative everywhere, even in pop, believe me. But I think rock is quite inclusive. I receive many messages from fans when they see me wearing a t-shirt, posting some music.”
The drag queen has shown her admiration for rock and metal on other occasions, such as when she participated in a live stream with Samira Close wearing a Destruction . Later, she appeared in another Instagram live stream wearing a t-shirt from the Brazilian hardcore crust band Manger Cadavre?. Furthermore, the pop artist made a Bring Me The Horizon concert , going on stage to sing "Antivist".
