Black Sabbath holds press conference in Rio
At the press conference with Black Sabbath in Brazil, founding members Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler spoke about the tour that is passing through the country this week. Guitarist Tony Iommi, who is undergoing treatment for lymphoma, fell ill and did not attend the press conference.
Bassist Geezer Butler talks about the differences compared to the band's old tours: “Before, it was sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. Now we drink tea and after the show we go straight to bed .” When Butler finishes, Ozzy jokes, “Ah, that's just them, not me. I'm crazy.”
For the bassist, the best part of the tour is the songs from the latest album: “We always play the classics. And now, for the first time in 35 years, we have new songs on the setlist.”
Regarding raising the Brazilian flag at a show in Argentina , Ozzy explained that he picked up the flag that had been thrown by a fan. Despite calling the incident a "worldwide mistake ," the vocalist added: "That's not important, our music has no barriers .
