The Osbourne joined a large group of artists participating in an online campaign organized by Global Citizen to raise funds for refugees from the war in Ukraine.
The activity on social media is intended to complement the in-person event Stand Up For Ukraine , which takes place next Saturday, the 9th, in Poland, and is expected to bring together world leaders to decide what kind of assistance can be provided to Ukrainian citizens.
In a video posted on social media, Ozzy and Sharon appeal to internet users to start a large-scale sharing campaign to pressure major leaders to provide support to the citizens of Ukraine. "We need them to stand up for refugees everywhere and contribute the billions needed to address this crisis," Sharon comments.
A few weeks ago, Ozzy and Sharon's son, Jack Osbourne , revealed that he had traveled to Romania to personally offer help to war refugees. "While I was working at the border, I saw wave after wave of refugees, mostly women and children, all fleeing their country in the hope of finding a safe place," he wrote on his social media.
