After his brief separation from Sharon Osbourne last year, Ozzy Osbourne claimed that marital problems were caused by a sex addiction. The vocalist, who had an extramarital affair , retracted that claim this week.
When questioned by the British newspaper The Times, Osbourne said:
“I’m in a rock band, you know? There have always been groupies. I just got caught up in it. It was a small bump in the road. I think all marriages have that. In any marriage you end up drifting apart if you don’t spend much time together, and that was part of the problem. I don’t think I’m a sex addict.”
Speaking about his relationship with Sharon, Ozzy continued:
“She’s stronger than me or any other man, I’m sure of it. I’m more needy. Sharon is a workaholic and that’s too much. But if she gets home after X Factor and wants to go to sleep, what the hell am I supposed to do?! I’m supposed to stay home twiddling my thumbs waiting for her, right? That’s why men do stupid things when they’re alone.”
The interviewer then asks, since Sharon is also a star, if his wife doesn't have groupies: "Does Sharon have groupies?! She better not, I'd go crazy."
