Read Ozzy's statement
Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne posted a response on his Facebook page to the official statement published by Bill Ward last Wednesday, the 15th. In the text, Ozzy does not apologize and refuses to retract the comments about Ward made in the past. Read below:
"I never wanted to discuss this matter publicly, but Bill's statement left me no option but to give an honest response.".
Wow Bill,
What the hell are you talking about? I can't apologize for any opinions or comments I may have made about you during the promotion and tour of "13". Physically, you knew you were finished. Tony, Geezer and I didn't think you could do a two-hour set with drum solos every night, so we decided to move on. With Tony's health situation, we felt that time wasn't on our side.
Bill, stop with this "unsignable contract" charade and let's be honest. Deep down you know you weren't capable of making the album and a 16-month tour. Unfortunately for you, our instincts were right and you went to the hospital several times in 2013. Your last hospitalization was for shoulder surgery, which you yourself say you've just recovered from. That means our tour would have been canceled. And how is that my fault? Stop playing the victim and be honest with yourself and your fans.
Bill, we're old friends, let's stop this before it gets out of control.
God bless you.
With love,
Ozzy.
