In a recent interview with Metal Hammer , Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he has composed 15 unreleased tracks for his new album, which still has no name or official release date. The Prince of Darkness worked on the new material during the pandemic, and the album will follow Ordinary Man , released in early 2020.

For Ozzy, making music was what helped his mental health during an extended period of hardship and setbacks over the past few years. “I made 15 tracks [for the album]. That’s what kept me alive, you know? For the last two years I’ve been in a terrible state between the accident and the pandemic. That’s what kept me sane; I needed the music,” the rock star confided.

The accident Ozzy is referring to was a fall he suffered in 2019 , which dislodged some metal pins that had been put in place due to a previous accident. The musician had just recovered from pneumonia, which forced him to take time off from performing, and was in serious condition after the fall.

In the interview, Ozzy also revealed that the new album is almost complete. “It’s been a bit complicated, but even slowly, we’re definitely getting there. My only concern now is finishing it. We have the same production time as last time, so there will definitely be some similarities. But you’ll have to wait and see,” said the musician.
