Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that he is experiencing a lot of pain and will need another surgery, as well as receiving an epidural injection.
The news was revealed during the first episode of the second season of The Osbournes , in which the musician shares his health status with fans. “I’m going to have an epidural soon because what’s happening, what they’ve found out, is that my neck has been repaired, but below my neck there are two vertebrae where the ATV hit me and they’ve been disintegrated, there’s nothing left of them” (via Blabbermouth ).
The Prince of Darkness already underwent neck surgery in 2019 and has needed various treatments after suffering a fall at his home in Los Angeles, which aggravated injuries he sustained in a 2003 ATV accident. This marks the musician's fourth surgery.
Jack , Ozzy's son, asked about the procedure, and the singer and his wife and manager Sharon revealed they didn't fully understand what needed to be done. "All I know is that I'm in a lot of pain and discomfort right now," Ozzy said.
He also explained how he has been feeling since the surgery in 2019: “In my back, the two discs and the muscles in my shoulders separated from my skeleton, and that’s why I lean forward, as if gravity is pulling my head forward.”
It has not been disclosed when the surgery will take place or what the recovery will be like.
