Lead singer says he no longer smokes
In an interview with Sirius XM radio, Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne spoke about the legalization of marijuana, strongly supporting the measure:
“It’s just a leaf. There’s more poison in tobacco. The good thing about legalizing it is that the people who are growing it illegally don’t care what they use as fertilizer. A good friend of mine smoked it every day and he died of the worst throat cancer you can imagine. If it were governed by the government, they would have limitations: you can’t mix this with that… You wouldn’t get sick.”
The vocalist also said that he is not a user and has been sober for four years: “I haven’t been drunk in four years, I don’t use drugs or smoke a cigarette. I don’t want to die young. All the guys I used to drink with are dead.”
