Ozzy Osbourne released the song "Degradation Rules" this Friday, the 22nd, featuring Tony Iommi . The track will be part of Osbourne's new album, Patient Number 9 , which will be released on September 9th.

Speaking about the partnership, the musician commented: “It was great working with Tony. He’s the master of riffs. Nobody can touch him in that respect. I just wish we had these songs for Black Sabbath ’s 13th .”

Patient Number 9 will feature, in addition to Tony Iommi, Jeff Beck, Chad Smith, and Zakk Wylde , as well as Andrew Watt as producer. The album's title track, which features Beck, was released at the end of June.

Ozzy Osbourne and his health

In June, Osbourne underwent delicate and important surgery. Three days after the operation, the musician personally wrote a message to reassure fans, guaranteeing that he is at home and recovering "comfortably."

According to Loudwire , the surgery in question involved the removal and realignment of pins that Osbourne has in his neck and back after suffering a fall in 2019. In an interview with Classic Rock , the musician had already mentioned that he would undergo neck surgery because he was unable to "walk properly."

On his Instagram profile, Ozzy wrote the following post-operative message: “I’m now home and recovering comfortably. I’m definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and I’m sending everyone a big ‘thank you’ for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”
