In Wikimetal's first poll of 2017, Ozzy Osbourne's solo album won as the most anticipated work of the year, with 20% of the votes. Judas Priest and Sepultura (who have already released their new album "Machine Messiah" ) came in second and third place, with 17% and 11% respectively.

Ozzy has stated in several interviews that, despite Black Sabbath ending soon , he would continue working on his solo career. In November, the madman even said that he already has songs ready and that he has been working with Billy Idol's band guitarists Billy Morrison and Steve Stevens: "I've already had some ideas and we've worked on them together. There's a song already called 'Crack Cocaine'. It's kind of bluesy."

The vocalist spoke to Billboard about the post-Sabbath future: “We’re just stopping with Sabbath. We’re not going to sit in rocking chairs looking at photo albums. We’re going to stay involved in the music scene, it’s what we’ve always done. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Ozzy has already confirmed a solo show at the Chicago Open Air festival, which will take place in July. His last solo album, "Scream," was released in 2010.
