Sidney Wilson Jr., grandson of Ozzy Osbourne , recreated the bat-biting scene.
Kelly Osbourne shared a video on TikTok last Friday, October 31st, where her son, Sidney Wilson Jr., appears wearing a skeleton costume, holding a plush bat and biting the toy's head off. The caption accompanying the video is straightforward: "Learned from the older one, dad!"
The video gained immediate attention, bringing a mix of cuteness, nostalgia, and historical reference. The moment recalls one of the most famous episodes in Ozzy Osbourne's career . On January 20, 1982, during a show in Des Moines (Iowa), he bit the head off a bat that had been thrown onto the stage , believing it to be made of rubber—which triggered hospitalization and vaccination for fear of rabies.
Years ago, the Prince of Darkness recounted the incident: “It’s not how I’d like it to be, but I know I’ll be remembered as the guy who bit the head off a bat.” At the time, Ozzy even joked about what his tombstone would look like when he died: “It won’t be ‘Here lies Ozzy Osbourne. He did some good things,’ it’ll be ‘The lunatic who bites bats.’ And I don’t give a damn.”
