During an interview with Rolling Stone , Ozzy Osbourne dismissed any possibility of a Black Sabbath in the future.

The pioneers of heavy metal bid farewell to the stage in 2017 with a show in Birmingham, where it all began. Since then, many fans have longed for the opportunity to see them again.

“I can’t do it anymore. It’s over,” Osbourne said about the possibility of future shows with the band. “The only thing I regret is not having done the farewell show in Birmingham with [drummer] Bill Ward. I felt really bad about that,” he revealed.

Bill Ward did not participate in the band's farewell tour or their final studio album, 13 , released in 2013. Ward was left out because, according to official information, they had contractual problems, although some people claim there were doubts about his ability to perform with the band.

He goes on to say that he understood at the time the circumstances that made a Sabbath reunion with Ward impossible, but "it would have been really cool." Osbourne said that he and Tony Iommi still talk, but admits that neither of them is interested in getting the band back together, mainly because they believe that with Sabbath it's not possible to do just one show. "It would have to be an 18-month tour… I'm not against doing something, I'd just do it differently."
