Ozzy Osbourne is not at all happy with the media coverage regarding his decision to temporarily step away from the stage . In February, the artist canceled his European and UK Judas Priest

In a recent interview with host Billy Morrison on SiriusXM (via Loudwire ), the Prince of Darkness reminded the audience that he intends to return to performing live shows if possible.

“Look, I’m working intensely to recover. I got to the point where Sharon [Osbourne, his wife] told me (...): ‘You can’t keep scheduling tours and canceling them’,” he said. “So, if I get to the point where I can perform again, great. But at the moment, if you ask me if I could do shows within a month, I couldn’t say yes.”.

Despite Ozzy's honesty about his health condition, the media coverage of his decision to step away from the stage illustrates a scenario that deeply irritates the artist.

“This damn press drives you crazy. I looked at a magazine that said, ‘Ozzy is on his deathbed.’ I’m not dying in this shit. Come on, guys, haven’t I suffered enough already? If I get better today, if the doctor tells me today that I can go on tour, it would still take me another six months to recover, you understand? You have no idea… I feel like a one-legged man in a kick-ass contest,” he lamented. “All I have and what sustains me is recording albums. But I can’t do that forever, I have to go out there [on tour].”.

Four years ago, the singer suffered a fall that seriously damaged his spine. Even after a long series of treatments, surgeries, and physical therapy, Ozzy reported being "physically weak" and "in constant pain," making a return to the stage impossible at present.
