Ozzy Osbourne has no plans to stop recording new albums. Just over a year after the release of Ordinary Man , his tenth solo album, the singer already has around 15 songs written for his next project and potential collaborations.

Prince of Darkness 's first statements about the new album came just a week after Ordinary Man was released, back in February 2020, due to the cancellation of his tour. "Next month, I hope to make a new album with Andrew [Watt , producer]. I'm not content to just stay home," he commented at the time .

In an interview with Ozzy Boneyard on SiriusXM , the artist gave new details about the project's status, but without confirming the participation of Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters sharing drumming duties with Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Robert Trujillo of Metallica . "Some interesting people will be on the album, which I really can't reveal," he said ( via Blabbermouth ). "We have, like, 13 [or] 14 really strong songs."

Despite his long career and battle with Parkinson's disease , Ozzy still has a passion for creating new music. “Of course I get excited. It’s something creative that I can focus on,” he said. “When I do something really special, I say, ‘Yes, this is a winner.’ There’s one called ‘Patient Number Nine.’ It’s one we wrote about Sharon and me.”
