Ozzy Osbourne postpones tour once again and assures fans: "I'm not dying"

"I can't wait to get my butt up and get back in action," the singer said in a video posted on social media.

After canceling a series of shows scheduled for this year, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that his 2020 European tour will be postponed. The news was released through a video by the Prince of Darkness on his social media.

The Black Sabbath postponed his performances scheduled for later this year after contracting severe pneumonia. He subsequently fell at home and needed to rest. Now, he says he will need to take care of himself until early 2020, when he was supposed to tour Europe.

The North American tour, which begins in May, is still on for now, but the European shows, which were scheduled to start in January, have been cancelled. "I'm not dying, I'm recovering – it's just taking a little longer than everyone thought," he said in the video.

“I’m tired of being stuck in bed all day. I can’t wait to get my butt off the ground and get back in action (…) I’m postponing the European tour because I’m not ready. I’m not retiring – I still have shows to do. But when I get back from the American tour, I want to be 100% ready to go out and rock out. Plus, there’s a new album on the way.”

Get well soon, Prince of Darkness!
