Ozzy Osbourne: 'Ordinary Man' receives gold record for five hundred thousand copies sold.

The 2020 album emerged during a turbulent time in the singer's life and featured collaborations with Post Malone, Elton John, and Tom Morello.

Ozzy Osbourne 's latest album , Ordinary Man , has received a gold certification from the RIAA ( Recording Industry Association of America ) for sales exceeding half a million copies.

The album, which was released in February 2020, features a variety of collaborations ranging from Elton John to rapper Post Malone , and including Tom Morello, Duff McKagan , and Chad Smith .

Ordinary Man was a project undertaken during a period of extreme vulnerability for Ozzy Osbourne, who had undergone a series of medical procedures following a dangerous fall, neck surgery, and hospitalization for the flu. "The whole album came out of nowhere and was a lot of fun. It was what I needed to pull myself out of the morbidity of my recovery," said the artist.

In April, Osbourne stated that he already had around 15 songs written for a new album, and said that the creative flow was what kept him "alive" during his recovery from his accident and the social isolation caused by the pandemic.
