Ozzy Osbourne will launch a weekly podcast

According to The Hollywood Reporter , Ozzy Osbourne and his family will be discussing their time filming the reality show "The Osbournes" on a podcast.

The podcast will run for 10 weeks and will be released on March 5th. In it, Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their children Jack and Kelly will talk about the reality show that was a hit on MTV from 2002 to 2005. Several guests will participate in the podcast, including comedian Sheryl Underwood, Carnie Wilson, and The Osbournes executive producer Greg Johnston.

Jack talked about how the idea for the podcast came about : “They were thinking about bringing back The Osbournes, but it wouldn’t work. I thought: Well, this is the next best thing.”

The TV program showcased the life of the Black Sabbath singer and his family, and was the first to feature cameras following celebrities. Other artists later had similar programs, such as Gene Simmons of Kiss with "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" and Dee Snider, vocalist of Twisted Sister, with "Growing Up Twisted".

Speaking to The Times-Picayune about The Osbournes, Ozzy said, “The show was a good idea that got out of control. The first mistake was recording it in the house I lived in, instead of a studio recording. You have a crew living in your garage all the time for three years, someone would go crazy by the end of that.”

The Osbournes Podcast will premiere on March 5th and will have new episodes every Monday.
