Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic Prince of Darkness, will have a six-meter-tall posthumous statue erected at the 2026 edition of Hellfest. The festival will take place between June 18 and 21 in Clisson, France.

During an appearance at MIDEM 2026, Sharon Osbourne's manager and widow singer, shared the first image of the artwork, which will be located next to the event's main entrance. Commenting on the project, Sharon described her late husband as "a rock god."

 “Ah, there he is. Look at him, a rock god. He’s making his debut at Hellfest on June 18th. The whole family will be there to see him. It’s a wonderful tribute. It’s incredible. I can only thank Ben Barbaud [the festival director] God bless him. It’s an impressive work of art,” he declared [transcription via Blabbermouth].

Ozzy Osbourne will join none other thanLemmy Kilmister as two rock legends to have statues erected at the French festival. In 2022,frontman Motörhead was unveiled at the event. The work was created by Caroline Brisset, a French sculptor who works with steel and concrete to achieve a dreamlike effect. It's also worth noting that some of the singer's ashes are kept inside the statue.
