Ozzy Osbourne was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) , a company dedicated to professional wrestling, for his dedication and passion for the sport.
The awards ceremony for the nominees took place in the early hours of Wednesday, the 7th, but the Prince of Darkness did not attend the event in person, which was held with a virtual audience.
In a video sent to accept the award, Ozzy appears in his garden. “Thank you so much for this wonderful award. I don’t deserve it, but thank you anyway,” he said. “It’s all about the fans, really. Our fans keep us alive, it’s all about them.”
Ozzy has been a fan of WrestleMania , the world's biggest wrestling event, since 1986. On more than one occasion, the singer and Sharon Osbourne have been invited to host matches at the event, and have also had songs featured as official themes for the seasons.
