In an interview with The Guardian , Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, Sharon , spoke about their decision to leave the United States and move to Buckinghamshire, in the United Kingdom.

According to Sharon, contrary to what many might think, the main reason for the move wasn't Ozzy's health – who recently underwent delicate surgery to remove and relocate pins in his neck and spine. According to the singer's wife, the real factor was America itself.

“America has changed so drastically. It’s no longer the United States of America. There’s nothing ‘united’ about it. It’s a very strange place to live now,” he commented.

Ozzy Osbourne agreed with his wife's comment and expressed outrage, particularly regarding gun violence in the United States and the mass shootings that often occur in schools.

“Everything is ridiculous there. I’m tired of seeing people being murdered every day. Only God knows how many people have read a gunshot in school massacres. And then that shooting happened at a concert in Las Vegas… It’s crazy,” said the singer.

“And I don’t want to die in the United States,” he added. “I don’t want to be buried at Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to come back here. But if my wife said we had to live in Timbuktu, I would go. But no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

Ozzy Osbourne and his experience with Parkinson's disease.

In 2020, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and had been living with it since 2003. "I'm not dying of Parkinson's. I've been working with it most of my life," he asserted.

According to Blabbermouth , the singer has sought permission to build a rehabilitation wing in his new home in England. The facilities would include non-slip surfaces and floors, some "discreet" handrails, and well-distributed spaces for breaks and rest.

After undergoing delicate surgery , Ozzy proved he's still full of energy and took to the stage at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony to perform "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" alongside Tony Iommi .
