Ozzy Osbourne has spoken out against Kanye West after the rapper played a song using a sample of Ozzy's music without permission.
On his Instagram account, the Prince of Darkness said he did not authorize the rapper to use a sample of a segment from a live performance of "Iron Man" from 1983 without the vocals.
“Permission was denied because he is an anti-Semite and has caused countless pains to many,” the publication said. Kanye, however, reportedly played the song at an event anyway. According to Ozzy's post, “He went ahead and used the sample anyway at his album listening party last night. I want no association with this man!”
Ozzy's accusation that Kanye is antisemitic stems from several controversies the rapper has been involved in. In an interview with Fox News, Kanye stated: "I think [Jews] are all about that, about making money." He further joked: "I'd rather my kids know Hanukkah than Kwanzaa [African-American celebration]. At least they'll have some financial engineering.".
