that the Prince of Darkness , Ozzy Osbourne, desperately wants to return to the stage someday, but the news doesn't seem to be in his favor at the moment, as his health appears increasingly fragile.
Regarding his potential performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, for which Ozzy was nominated , the singer gave a statement on the Ozzy Speaks for SiriusXM (transcribed via Ultimate Classic Rock ) saying: “I would love to do a show right now! But no surgeon would allow me to.”
In addition to Parkinson's disease, Ozzy also suffers from various pains resulting from back surgery, which is also preventing him from returning to the stage. When asked by Billboard if he will perform at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, he said, "You never know."
All we can do is wait and hope that Madman's health will allow him to one day say goodbye to the stage in the way he so desires and put a dignified end to one of the most iconic careers in music.
Ozzy and the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
In April of this year, Ozzy was finally selected to join the infamous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this time as a solo artist, since Black Sabbath had been nominated and selected in 2006.
However, Ozzy's history with the institution is somewhat turbulent. In 1999, Sabbath was nominated, and his response was rather negative: "Just take our name off the list. Save the ink. Forget about us." However, nowadays Ozzy views the institution with more respect, even saying he is honored to be nominated again, now as a solo artist.
