Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan , in an interview on the Klein Allen Show , said that Ozzy Osbourne should have an annual concert.
In order to raise funds for charities, the event would also pay tribute to the metal icon, who passed away on July 22nd.
Corgan was one of the guests at Back To The Beginning , which had the same initiative to raise money for social causes. The vocalist said that this event could inspire others in the future: "I almost think there should be an annual Ozzy show where we would get together and do this charity event."
The show's host added: " He raised so much money with that farewell show [...]. Everyone thinks of him [Ozzy] as that grumpy rocker who bit a bat once, but the good he did was tremendous."
“When you have the world’s greatest artists coming together to perform in tribute to someone, they all come together to create a monumental and unique event. And what an incredible way to continue paying homage. If we can get together in Birmingham, or Sharon [Osbourne] can choose another location, the legacy of this union of people will continue. I can’t even imagine the list of artists who would want to be involved ,” Billy added.
