During an interview with SiriusXM , Ozzy Osbourne confessed that 2019 has been the most difficult year of his life. “I broke my neck in January, I had pneumonia, I had blood clots… It’s been a turbulent year, to say the least. I’ve been in so much pain this year,” he said.
The Prince of Darkness also recalled the quad bike accident he suffered in 2003 in which he broke his collarbone, several ribs, a vertebra in his neck, and was left in a coma for eight days. The musician explained that despite the "damage," the only thing he still carries from the accident is a sequela that requires him to receive daily electric shocks to his arm.
In 2019, Osbourne suffered from infections and broke his neck during a break from Black Sabbath . “I was singing better than I’d ever sung and I was really happy. I went home for a little break and got a staph infection in two fingers (…) Then I did the New Year’s Eve show here in Los Angeles. That was the last show I did, because in February, I got up at night to go to the bathroom and stepped wrong. I hit the floor like a ton of bricks.”
