In this week's Wikimetal poll, Ozzy Osbourne was voted the craziest musician in metal history. His victory was categorical and absolute with 76% of the votes. In second and third place were Alice Cooper with 9%, and Dave Mustaine with 8%.

Ozzy's biography recounts numerous incredible stories from the Madman, ranging from shooting a life-size teddy bear, being arrested for urinating in the Alamo, sniffing a line of ants, and not thinking twice about ripping the head off a pigeon in a meeting with his record label executives.
But surely the story that brought worldwide fame to the Prince of Darkness happened in January 1982 in Des Moines, Iowa, when someone in the audience threw a real bat onto the stage and Ozzy, believing it to be a toy, bit the bat's head off with his mouth.

During Black Sabbath's recent tour in Brazil, bassist Geezer Butler spoke about the differences compared to the band's old tours: "Before, it was sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. Now we drink tea and after the show we go straight to bed .
"Ah, that's just them, not me. I'm crazy," adds Ozzy, the craziest musician in Metal!
