In this week's Wikimetal poll, Ozzy Osbourne was voted the musician with the best solo career, with 47% of the votes. Ronnie James Dio came in second with 25%, and Slash with 16%.

Ozzy Osbourne's first solo album was "Blizzard Of Ozz," released in 1980. To this day, the album remains the best-selling of the vocalist's career and contains timeless classics such as " Crazy Train" and "Mr. Crowley ."

"Blizzard Of Ozz" was released by Sharon Osbourne's father's label, Jet Records, after being rejected by Warner Bros. and EMI. The album then sold over 6 million copies, a commercial success that was only matched again with "No More Tears" in 1991.

In a solo career spanning over 30 years, 11 albums and 55 million records sold, in addition to creating memorable songs, Ozzy launched the careers of great guitarists such as Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee and Zakk Wylde.
