The topic of Ozzfest was discussed in an episode of The Osbournes , and when asked if she would consider doing another edition of the festival, Sharon Osbourne replied: "Yes, of course. Of course."

In another episode of the show , she explained that the reason for closing Ozzfest was a monetary issue ( via Blabbermouth ): “We made a profit. But it wasn’t like – we couldn’t retire. And the managers and agents wanted more and more, and it just wasn’t profitable anymore. We stopped because it simply wasn’t profitable.”

Kelly Osbourne pointed out precisely that, that bands and managers needed to be "realistic" about the fees to be paid to the bands that performed.

Sharon said ( via Blabbermouth ): “It’s great. That’s what we wanted – everyone to do spin-offs and have their own festivals, and that’s great. It’s great for the fans; it’s brilliant.”

"But why, when it comes to us, does everyone think we're trillionaires, and that for every businessman who wants their band at our festival, they want one of the damn trillions they think we have to put into the festival?" he asked.

Ozzy inquired about bringing in lesser-known bands, to which the manager replied that it was possible on smaller stages, but that "you still need the headliners": "It's always good to have the smaller stage, I mean, that's what it's all about – launching new bands. That's why we did this."

Jack Osbourne said that many of the new rock festivals in the United States are "basically Ozzfest," to which his mother explained: "Well, it's the same bands out there. But that's what's so good about it, because we started something, people accepted it, and it's still great for the genre. It's really good."
