The Oxigênio Festival has announced its 2023 edition with a lineup focused on punk, hardcore, and alternative rock, featuring Dead Fish, Rancore , and Samiam among the highlights. More than 20 acts will perform on August 26th and 27th at the Hangar of the Campo de Marte Aeroclub in São Paulo.
One of the most anticipated performances at Oxigênio 2023 is Rancore. The band will perform on both days of the festival with its full lineup, the same one from the emblematic album Seiva (2011), which changed paradigms of national alternative and independent rock.
Renowned international bands with large audiences in Brazil are also on the lineup: on Saturday the 26th, the band Samiam takes the stage at the Oxigênio Festival . The group is a remnant of the late 1980s punk scene in California (United States) and is considered a pioneer of what was then called emocore, due to its unique mix of punk rock, hardcore, pop and indie.
Also on Saturday, Dead Fish returns to Oxigênio with the tour celebrating 30 years of intense activity from the band that so well represents the national independent scene.
On Sunday, there's still the mystery of surprise bands to be announced. Singer Day Limns , a headliner at Best of Blues and Rock 2023, will perform on the second day of the event, alongside Zander , with his new and energetic lineup, and Hevo84 , a leading figure in emocore from past decades.
The festival features two stages where bands perform at alternating times. In addition to the musical attractions, the festival will have spaces for urban art, photography, and gastronomy, as well as an area for official merchandise.
Tickets are sold individually for each day of the event or as a pass, valid for both days. Both options offer general admission or VIP area access, as well as half-price tickets or solidarity tickets, upon donation of 1kg of non-perishable food.
