DD Verni , bassist for Overkill , revealed that the band's new album will be released in 2026. Their most recent album is Scorched , released in April 2023 by Nuclear Blast Records .
In an interview with Jeff Gaudiosi of MisplacedStraws.com , Verni said that the group is currently recording demos [transcription via Blabbermouth ]: “We have nine or ten songs already well underway. I sent them to Blitz [ Bobby Ellsworth , the band's vocalist] a little while ago. Most of the time, I always make a demo with all the musical parts and send it to him. Blitz spends some time working on them and does what needs to be done. Then the whole band gets together.”
Regarding when Overkill might release their new album, the musician confirmed it will happen in 2026, but didn't give a specific date.
“I would say next year, for sure. When will it be? It could be in the spring, autumn [northern hemisphere]. It will happen sometime. But in 2026, there will definitely be a new Overkill album,” he concluded.
