Otep's new album, Kult 45 , is now available.
“Shelter In Place” is the new music video from Otep , which is part of the album Kult 45 .
“The video challenges the irrational claim of the NRA (National Rifle Association) that only a nice guy with a gun can stop a bad person with a gun […] The number of mass killings of children in schools because of gun violence is our national shame, but the Republican Congress does nothing to protect our children. […] Our children deserve better. And it’s worth fighting for their safety and the safety of teachers,” said vocalist Otep Shamaya .
Kult 45 was recorded in Los Angeles, using the same equipment used on the band's first album, Sevas Tra , to create a sound reminiscent of the band's roots. The album was released in July by Napalm Records.
