Bohemian Rhapsody received five Oscar nominations in 2019. They were: "Best Picture", "Sound Editing", "Sound Mixing", "Best Film Editing" and "Best Actor" for Rami Malek .
In the "Best Picture" category, the biopic is competing against Green Book and Roma , which are the favorites. Also nominated are Black Panther , BlacKkKlansman , The Favourite , A Star Is Born , and Vice .
Malek is competing against Christian Bale ( Vice ), Bradley Cooper ( A Star Is Born ), Willem Dafoe ( At Eternity's Gate ), and Viggo Mortensen ( Green Book ).
The nominations came after the film won the Golden Globe for "Best Motion Picture – Drama" and "Best Actor – Motion Picture – Drama" for Malek.
The Oscar ceremony will be broadcast on February 24th and will not have an official host.
