The sketch of the original Slipknot , created by former drummer Joey Jordison, was revealed last Sunday, the 20th.

The Instagram account @joeyjordisonfamily , which, according to the biography, was "created by Joey Jordison's family to celebrate his life and legacy," posted the sketch on social media. It appears the band's logo design remains virtually unchanged since the first sketch.

Joy Joridson was also an illustrator and designer before starting her career in music, having created both the logo and the "tribal" symbol of S.

The former drummer died of undisclosed causes in 2021 at the age of 46. He was one of the founding members of Slipknot and one of its main songwriters. He was fired from the band in 2013, after revealing in 2016 that he was living with the neurological disease acute transverse myelitis.

In June 2023, the drummer's estate filed a lawsuit against the band , alleging they attempted to profit from the former member's death and improperly retained possession of his personal belongings. The lawsuit was settled in September 2024.
