Oli Sykes and YUNGBLUD have teamed up for another collaboration on the Doncaster singer's new song, "Happier".

The first collaboration between the young artist from the alternative scene and Bring Me The Horizon took place during the pandemic, in 2020, for the single “OBEY” , which ended up being included on the album POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR (2020) .

Just as "OBEY" leaned more heavily towards the musical style of Bring Me The Horizon, "Happier" arrives with a more alternative and electronic sound, similar to YUNGBLUD's music.

In a press release, the singer spoke about the track: “Almost my entire life I’ve conditioned myself to feel pain. When I’m in pain, I work better. I function better because I have something to fight against. It’s dark, but it’s all I’ve ever known. The feeling of happiness is scary because you feel like everything is about to go wrong.”

“I always felt that if I’m happy, I’ll become complacent, which has cost me many opportunities for friendship and relationships in the past. I got very sentimental while writing [this song]. I was longing for another Yungblud song that would make my stomach churn, make me feel like everything will be alright, and encourage me to fight against old habits and strive to readjust and be better. It’s okay to find happiness, it’s okay to feel it. I hope you find some of it in this song. You deserve it. Everyone deserves it,” he concludes.
