The frontman ruptured his right vocal cord and was advised not to perform
Bring Me The Horizon has cancelled the remainder of their North American tour after Oli Sykes ruptured his right vocal cord.
The band was scheduled to perform on two more dates – February 15th in Phoenix and February 16th in Las Vegas.
On the 15th, Sykes shared the news with fans. “I’m very sad to announce that we will have to cancel the remainder of the North American tour. I ruptured my right vocal cord and have been advised to rest immediately. I am at serious risk of permanent damage.”.
He went on to explain that he tried his best to honor the band's commitments. "But singing now would be like a soccer player running with a broken leg," he explained.
Bring Me The Horizon is one of the headliners for Lollapalooza 2019. There is no information yet on whether the band will perform again before then.
