Oliver Sykes has once again commented on his relationship with Brazil and explained what it's been like living in the country in recent years. During an interview with Nik Nocturnal, the Bring Me The Horizon stated that he feels comfortable in Brazil and highlighted his routine after marrying Brazilian model Alissa Salls [via TMDQA!].

“I think, for me, I needed a place to escape a little, and slow down my life a bit, to disconnect from the band and from who I am when I'm working. And I think it would be very difficult to find that in England. Because it rains all the time there, there's not much to do outdoors. I end up just working, and I still have difficulty with that, but it's much easier to take a break when there's a beach nearby and things like that. So, this has been good for me, living at a more relaxed pace. Much more relaxed,” revealed Oliver.

Oliver spends part of his time on the coast of São Paulo with his wife and revealed that he likes the Brazilian lifestyle and the way people interact. Furthermore, he stated that the country is the ideal place to raise his children. “People are calmer, more laid-back, especially at the beach. And of course, now that I have children, it’s a very good environment to raise them. It seems like we can focus on them and kind of cut out all the noise and rush of everything else. So it’s been incredible.”

Oliver and Alissa met when the model started working for DropDead, the vocalist's clothing brand, and announced their relationship in 2016. The couple married in 2017 in a ceremony held in Las Vegas, United States.
