Oli Sykes acquires new document and celebrates: "I am Brazilian now"

The singer also has a CPF (Brazilian tax identification number) and has owned a house in Brazil for several years.

Oliver Sykes is becoming more and more Brazilian every day. The Bring Me The Horizon recently shared on his social media that he now possesses his National Migration Registration card, which is mandatory for all immigrants holding a temporary visa or residence permit in the country.

Oli posted a photo of the newly acquired document and wrote "I am Brazilian now," using a Brazilian flag emoji in place of the nationality. 

Bring Me The Horizon BR fan club , fans had fun with the news and made comments ranging from imagining the singer in line at the Poupatempo (a Brazilian government service center) to arguing that Bring Me The Horizon is now eligible to play at the national João Rock festival.

Oliver Sykes has considered himself "officially Brazilian" for several years now. Married to Brazilian model and singer Alissa Salls since 2017, the artist bought a house in Brazil and obtained a CPF ( in 2021. During Bring Me The Horizon's visit to Brazil in 2022, Oli spent the entire show talking to the audience in Portuguese and invited Pabllo Vittar to the stage to sing "Antivist".
