Oli Herbert's medical test results were released by the musician's widow.
Oli Herbert , guitarist for All That Remains , died by drowning after ingesting antidepressants and tranquilizers.
Herbert was found dead on October 16 near his home in Connecticut. He was 44 years old.
According to TMZ , police were dispatched to the residence after his disappearance was reported. Oli's body was found in a creek near his home.
Today, Oli's wife, Beth , released a statement through the guitarist's official page. She wrote: “Good morning, this is Beth. And it’s a really good day; the toxicology report is out. As is the official cause of my husband’s death.”
“Cause of death – Drowning – Oli was apparently self-treating his manic-depressive condition. Antidepressants were found in his system, as well as tranquilizers. The medications found are the same ones a close relative was prescribed, so he knew what to look for in terms of “treatment.” The fact that he didn’t go (and wouldn’t go) to a doctor for diagnosis explains the erratic behavior he had been exhibiting at home.”
Beth also spoke about the cancellation of the public memorial that was supposed to take place this Sunday, November 11th.
"Regarding the cancellation of the memorial, my personal safety and that of my home were the reasons, since both have received several threats recently," he reported.
