The band featured in this week's National Pride section has been around for many years. Velhas Virgens are the biggest independent rock band in Brazil.

With Paulo Carvalho, "Paulão" on vocals and harmonica, Alexandre "Cavalo" Dias on guitar, Tuca Paiva on bass, Simon Brow on drums, Roy Carlini on guitar and Juliana Kosso on vocals, the band has been around for over 25 years.

Daniel Dystyler: Starting another National Pride segment, Rafael Masini, this time it's not an unknown band, quite the opposite.

Rafael Masini: That's right, it's an old band that always makes songs with humor, funny lyrics, but without forgetting the heaviness, the strumming, the guitars, sometimes with some heavier blues, very cool, that's Velhas Virgens.

DD: That's right, Rafa, following the same line of humor we're using throughout the episode, like you said, we already played Beatallica in the opening, I was going to ask for Tenacious D, which is Jack Black's band, and they have a really cool sense of humor. And in Brazil there's Massacration, there are some bands that do this style, but I think playing Velhas Virgens was a good choice, what song did you choose, Rafael Masini?

RM: From Velhas Virgens, I chose "A Mulher do Diabo"!
