Astrologer and philosopher Olavo de Carvalho , intellectual guru of the Bolsonaro , stated that the Beatles did not write their own songs.
In the video, Carvalho analyzed the theory that the songs were written by the sociologist Theodor Adorno .
"I'll investigate, but it seems true to me from the context: the Beatles were practically illiterate when it came to music. They barely knew how to play the guitar. Theodor Adorno composed the songs," he stated.
According to him, the Beatles had devastating consequences for the world. "It's all a celebration of LSD, of drugs. Do you know how John Lennon , how others ended up? Do you have any idea of the mess the Beatles made of the world? The Beatles and countless other groups," he said.
Olavo de Carvalho is admittedly one of the voices of Brazilian conservatism. The comparison of the Beatles with Adorno arises from his theory of Cultural Marxism. Carvalho argues that world culture is dominated by leftist personalities who use the arts to "indoctrinate in favor of their ideologies.".
Theodor Adorno is a German philosopher, sociologist, musicologist, and composer, a representative of the Frankfurt School. His theories fit within a post-Marxist context, criticizing capitalism while simultaneously disagreeing with the socialism of the Soviet Union.
One of his most famous concepts is that of the Culture Industry. In it, Adorno argued that the capitalist reproduction of works of art would erase their critical values, since this would distance the intellectual participation of the viewers.
