The Offspring's last album was released in 2012.
The Offspring guitarist Kevin 'Noodles' Wasserman has confirmed that the band is putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated new studio album, three years after releasing the single "Coming For You".
In an interview with Wrif Meltdown, Wasserman said: “This album is taking us a long time, but I think it will be worth the wait. We've recently been in the studio working a lot with [producer] Bob [Rock]. We have about ten songs, plus a few more that just need lyrics. And then we can do one or two more, and it will be ready.”
The Offspring's last album was released in 2012, and since then the band has toured playing only their hits, without releasing new material. The new album is expected to be released in the second half of the year.
The band is coming to Brazil in October to visit at least four cities. The dates have not yet been announced.
