Tool 's highly anticipated new album will be released on August 30th. The band confirmed the date at a show last night (May 7th) in Alabama.
According to fans who attended the show, one of the screens flashed the date "August 30th" before the encore. Then, vocalist Maynard James Keenan encouraged fans to share the news on social media. Later, the date was tweeted on Tool's official account.
As they did at Welcome to Rockville, the band performed two new songs , "Descending" and "Invincible." Both are expected to be on the successor to 2006's 10,000 Days
