The album marks a fresh start for the band
Defy this Friday, the 19th, their first with bassist Aaron Pauley on vocals.
Released by Rise Records, the album features twelve tracks, including "Unbreakable ," a cover of Pink Floyd's "Money," and its title track .
According to Aaron, Defy is quite different from its predecessor Cold World (2016), “Change isn’t easy and it can be scary. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I feel a little apprehensive, but the attitude is ‘Let’s do this and let’s nail it,’ because we didn’t know what the future held,” he says.
Austin Carlile left the band in 2016 citing health problems. The vocalist suffers from Marfan syndrome, a genetic disease that weakens body tissue, primarily affecting the heart, lungs, ears, ligaments, and muscles.
